Pierdomenico Baccalario grew up in an old house with a library containing more than 20,000 volumes. A writer and journalist, his books have sold millions of copies worldwide and have been translated into over 30 languages. Among his numerous series of novels, the best known is the one written under the pseudonym Ulysses Moore, published by Piemme in the Battello a Vapore series starting from 2004. He also worked as a writer and journalist, he has worked as a screenwriter for animated series that have been broadcast in more than 100 countries. He writes for Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, for the periodical La Lettura, about children’s books.
